Typical Munich breakfast with Münchner Weißwurst, but with a few additions 😅 French croissants and British breakfast. Full for the day!
An exceptional day at the Olympic Park in Munich. Discover the emblematic structures of the 1972 Olympic Games, breathtaking views of the Olympic Tower and the Lake, a perfect harmony between architecture and nature.
This morning I visited the Olympic Stadium in Munich.
Designed for the 1972 Olympic Games, it is much more than a sports venue, it is also an architectural work of art by Frei Otto (Pritzker Prize 2015), a visionary engineer and architect famous for his innovative approach to lightweight structures. The stadium has a suspended roof made of translucent fabric (like a spider’s web). Football clubs FC Bayern Munich and Munich 1860 played at this stadium from 1972 to 2005, before moving to the Allianz Arena.
During my discovery of the Munich Olympic Park, I stopped at the SAP Garden, an ultra-modern arena that embodies the new generation of sports infrastructure. This place is the playground of the famous Red Bull Munich.
After exploring the place, I visited the official store of the resident club. It was the perfect opportunity to discover the team’s merchandise, I bought a Hockey Puck and the official scarf of the Hockey team.
I also took a tour in the Supporters’ Café just above, where you can admire a huge Red Bull screen.
